Remember that time Carnegie Hall got lit up on fire during a soprano recital? Oh right, that never happened.
BUT it did happen in the 1998 cinematic role-playing videogame Parasite Eve for the original Playstation console as Carnegie Hall would play the backdrop for a bloody brilliant cut scene in which the game’s lead heroine is introduced to the game’s protagonist, a vile, smooth singing soprano. Parasite Eve would go on to be a commercial hit for its publisher Squaresoft (now Square Enix) and the opening scene below became one of the most recognized full-motion videos in the Playstation late-90s era. To this date, its still the only reference to the famed concert hall in a videogame.
