Classical Cover: Listeners “Just Can’t Get Enough” of Depeche Mode

Last week we showcased a special classical cover of Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy The Silence” by the Eric Whitacre Singers. We loved it so much that we wanted to send a shot out to a few more notable Depeche Mode classical covers. Here’s an equally impressive rendition of their trademark ’80s hit, “Just Can’t Get Enough.”

Performed in 2009 by Classical Revolution’s San Francisco chapter and arranged for string quartet by Jack Curtis Dubowsky, the cover is completely performed by strings and maintains the jubilant energy and rhythmic motion of the original. Unfortunately, no proper studio recording of the cover was ever produced, and the only audio capture available was from a one-take rehearsal.

However, this isn’t the first time “Just Can’t Get Enough” has been covered by a string ensemble. In 2006, H&M’s “Modern Classic” campaign in Europe covered it!
