First Revealed Track off the Mysterious Debut Album from Hiss Tracts

We’re not sure if we’re waiting for a house to get nuked in a government experiment or for meth cooks to come out, but we’re surely intrigued by the music. The music video for the track “halo getters” is from the forthcoming album Shortwave Nights, a collaboration between Godspeed You! Black Emperor/Set Fire to Flames’ David Bryant and Kevin Doria (Growing, Total Life) under the group name Hiss Tracts.

The new album, seemingly more of an experimental / post-classical release is described as being “nebulous and disorienting” which is clearly evident in the album’s first revealed track.

The video was crafted by Godspeed You! Black Emperor projectionist Karl Lemieux and holds plenty of similarities and art direction to the blueprint laid out by director Mark Romanek (Nine Inch Nail’s “Closer”).

Shortwave Nights from Hiss Tracts hits this May on Constellation Records.
