Benedictines of Mary – Angels and Saints

Worldly moving beyond belief.

Whatever misconceptions you may have about this record Рclear your mind.  Angels and Saints at Ephesus is a perfect example of creating a choral record not from the strength and stamina of your vocal chords but from the depth of your heart.

Beginning to end, the record presents an elevated emotional ride, one of reflection through levels of longing.

An odd thing to note is that the nameless nuns singing is not true perfection, but therein lies the beauty of the performance.  Every note, every hum is brimming with life and sensual evocations without a necessary need to force upon beyond their capability.

This isn’t a church record, but if this what an audio heaven sounds like – this is the ticket in.
